This book all started when
we had reports of people canoeing in their gardens .This was due to
heavy rain . Our Headteacher told us she was going to make a book
with her old school but it didn't happen. She remembered about it
and we were asked if we would like to make a book.

to put their information together. Funding for the book came
from local sponsors and business .

took place at Halliwells house Museum in Selkirk in October
1997. All the children, interviewees and friends went
along. Border Television and the local press were also present at

and there is more to come in. So far we have bought hockey kit,
footballs and we are hoping to buy grass and playground
equipment.
